K E Brown has won major recognition in Australasia's premier process engineering awards for its groundbreaking work in avoiding potential electromagnetic field hazards through its switchboard design for the prestigious $560m Darling Walk regeneration project in Sydney's Darling Harbour.
From a record field competing for awards in PACE magazine's 8th annual Zenith Awards, we won the POWER & ENERGY MANAGEMENT Award for the Darling Walk switchboard project , which delivers best practice environmental initiatives, plus overcomes any potential hazards posed by electromagnetic fields (EMF).
According to Vic Chetwertak, Electrical Project Manager with Fredon, a leading supplier of communications, electrical, data and HVAC services, by specifying switchboards from K E Brown Electrical Switchboards, the company was able to deliver an advanced switchboard design to help conserve energy and dismiss any fears regarding hidden EMF hazards.
The Judges for the POWER & ENERGY MANAGEMENT Award, sponsored by Rockwell Automation, said: "This project employs an excellent understanding of the designs and manufacturing standards required to respond to increasing standards for EMF emissions".
With over 220 guests in attendance, Doltone House was packed for the PACE Awards.
Veteran MC Andrew Daddo hosted the evening and was in fine form as he guided the audience through the evening's
proceedings, with the K E Brown Award the first to be announced and accepted by Company Chairman Dr Stephen van der Mye.
In the first time we have ever entered the Process and Control Engineering magazine Zenith awards and the success is a tribute to the commitment and skills of our staff team.
